Case 06 / Studio
The Hive Atelier
A twelve-poster editorial series for the studio’s own channels, written and designed to show how the studio thinks before it shows what it makes. Black and white throughout, with one object in each poster doing the work of an idea.

01 / Same look
Why does everything look the same?
The first series questions the sameness that comes from working with the same references, the same tools and the same prompts. A white telephone handset carries the idea across all three posters, from a single call to three identical receivers to a cord that ties the repetition together.
02 / Before the design
Intention is not always perception.
The second series uses a man in a suit and a mirror to talk about the gap between what a brand means and what people see. He steps onto the word mirror, faces it, and in the last poster the mirror holds only the word perception.
03 / Look closer
Look before you design.
The third series is about observation. A pair of brass opera glasses magnifies the word noticed and becomes the double O in look, and the series ends with a keyhole that reveals an eye watching from inside the word there.
04 / Read wrong
A brand can look right and still be read wrong.
The last series moves from seeing to reading. An old cloth-bound book carries the first two posters, with a turning page that splits right from wrong, and a monocle closes the set by bringing only part of the word understanding into focus.
